Editorial Review for The Palm – by Citysearch Staff

In Short
With its Italian-tinged menu and playful artwork on the walls, this national chain (which got its start in 1926) maintains a congenial atmosphere even as corporate patrons use company credit cards to pay for 36-ounce New York strips or jumbo lobsters. Sitting in dark wood chairs placed at tables topped in white linen, suit-jacketed gents and ladies sup on prime steaks, chops and hearty portions of classic Old World dishes like spaghettini marinara and veal piccata.

Insider Tips

What to Drink

Befitting the power broker atmosphere, The Palm's wine list is chock full of vintage bottles so treat yourself to a nice Italian red.

The Extras

Regular patrons should join the 837 Club, the restaurant's frequent dining program. After spending a certain amount, customers earn incentives like gift certificates and trips.

User Reviews for The Palm

5 Star Rating: Highly Recommended

It is the Palm. The floors are wooden, the celing is metal, the staff is in coats, the food is pricey and the atmosphere does get loud. So if you want something else (like a private candlelit dinner) go somewhere else. If you have kids get a sitter. If you want to dine in an electric atmosphere where it feels like a party is going on and you have the wallet or company card to handle the toll by all means go.

Pros: Manager named Jamie was very attentive and even suggested where to go after dinner

Cons: People bringing thier kids

2 Star Rating: Below Average

Been there done that, I have eaten at the Palms about 50 times and it "aint what it use to be" the service was okay, the steak was just not all that. The drinks are extremely over priced, and not always full when you get them?

Pros: Valet parking, palm club for coupons

Cons: Price of the drinks, service can be spotty, no sep checks for large parties
