Preppies young and old flock to this Green Hills men's shop. There are plenty of upscale items (custom suits from Southwick and Samuelsohn), and the Mickey Spatz silk suits are retro-cool, but Oxford's biggest sellers are the Bill's Khakis. Oxford has specialty items galore, including pocketknives and other goodies from Tennessee's own Col. Littleton & Co. You'll also find toiletries and other gift items, which are good to remember come holiday time.

I was on a mission last week to buy a nice suit, so I made my first visit to three of Nashville's finest men's clothing stores: J. Michael's, Levy's, and The Oxford Shop. Customer service at J. Michael's and Levy's was clearly a priority. It was equally as clear that it wasn't a priority at The Oxford Shop. I must have pulled three or four jackets off their hangers to try them on,and not once did one of the three salesmen do more than offer small acknowledgments that I was even there. They offered no assistance identifying the right suit and never assisted me in trying on a jacket. I did purchase a suit at one of the three establishments, and I can assure you it was not at The Oxford Shop.

This is the best mens' clothing store in town. These guys sell beautiful clothes, and their prices are very reasonable. They could have a snobby attitude but most certainly do not. My husband used to shop at Levy's until he found this store. The poor customer service and elitist attitude at Levy's drove us away. The staff at the Oxford Shop always treats us with respect, without regard to what we're wearing when we enter the store, or whether they think we're going to spend money on that particular day. They address you by name and if you desire, will contact you when a new product arrives, or when they're having a sale. I would highly recommend this store based on their superior customer service and the quality of the clothes they sell.
Pros: Great tailoring, nice suit bags with purchase, friendly professional staff.
Cons: Wish they sold clothes for women.
