Sushi Samba 7

Celebrate the cuisine and culture of Japan, Brazil and Peru

  • HappyBox 5pm-7pm
  • Samba Brunch
  • Outdoor Dining

Only at Sushi Samba will you find a unique blend of Japanese, Brazilian and Peruvian cuisine, music and design. Sushi Samba is born of the energy and spirit of these three distinct cultures; a tri-cultural coalition that took root in the early 20th Century.

Samba Brunch: We've got a family style brunch for every style bunch! Your choice of four brunch favorites-- think pancakes, eggs bennie, apple-roasted bacon-- all served family-style for $15 per person. Don't beat around the brunch-- stop by Sundays from 11:30am to 3:30pm.

Editorial Review for Sushi Samba 7 – by Karen Hudes

The Scene
Glowing orbs and a spicy palette of oranges and reds set the festive mood at this West Village hot spot, where the lounge scene and rooftop DJ help sustain the buzz. An inventive cocktail list--caipirinhas and rum drinks with fresh berries--is just part of what attracts a steady, sleek after-work crowd.

The Food
The combined cuisine of Japanese sushi and citrus-marinated Latin seviche inspires a successful cross-pollination in many of the kitchen's starters, such as miso soup brightened with cilantro, and vibrant chowder with tender shrimp. Sharing different dishes is a good way to go, though the quartet of the succulent seviche may leave your sushi rolls tasting unexciting by comparison. An Asian pear crisp or chocolate Menta after-dinner drink finishes the meal gracefully.

Sushi Samba 7 has been a regular dinner place for us on Friday Nights in the past couple of weeks. Our Server, Chris, has been impeccable. He has been very informative and helpful, and it is nice to be able to have a server that takes time with his customers. The entire staff at this location are so friendly and provide a welcoming atmosphere. The food here, whether it be appetizers, main courses, or desserts, are out of this world. The sushi and sushi rolls are so fresh and practically melt in your mouth. The drink menu is also wonderful. We like this location 100% better than Sushi Samba Park. I would recommend it to anyone for a wonderful dining experience.

Haven't been to Sushi Samba in a while and decided to take clients there tonight who are visiting from Sweden. I was hesitant to take them to Samba because my previous experience there was less than stellar but I figured it would be a nice night to sit on the roof. We were greeted by beautiful hostesses and were served at the bar by a beautiful bartender. Then we were fortunate enough to be sat in Jamay's section on the rooftop. Jamay, yet another beautiful creature that works at Sushi Samba waited on us. Her service was excellent. She first helped us choose a great bottle of Rioja and we let her order food to go with it. Her choices were outstanding, way better than what I expected from Sushi Samba. I dine out all the time in New York and she was by far the best server I've had in a while. Did I mention she's very easy on the eyes? My clients were really impressed and we had a great time. If you go, make sure sit in her section.
