Editorial Review for Montgomery Bell State Park – by Citysearch Editors
In Short
Montgomery Bell State Park extends 3,782 acres across the iron-rich wilderness of Dickson County. The untapped bounty of these hills enticed early industrial developers like General James Robertson. It stands to reason that he established Cumberland Iron Works here, the first iron furnace in Middle Tennessee.
Today, the park has an 18-hole golf course, six hiking trails, 120 campsides and the Ore Pit Loop for kids.
