Editorial Review for Viking Culinary Arts Center – by Craig Shelburne
In Short
Foodies needing a bright red spatula or a state-of-the-art stainless steel oven come to drool. Zesters, paring knives, dessert tins, cookbooks, dish towels--this is the place to go for a cutting-edge kitchen. In the back of the store, a cooking classroom teaches the curious about culinary basics. Outside, a whopping, eye-popping grill will make any barbecue chef blush. Besides the gadgets and glassware, there's also the magnificent Viking product line.

Wow! Who would have thought, while driving down Franklin Road, that they would spot a Viking Culinary Center? This jewel, with only nine other culinary center locations in the U.S. (Dallas, Atlanta, Philadelphia, etc.), has a location in the historic Factory retail center, in posh little Franklin! Now, to be honest, I am horrible at cooking and have no skills in the kitchen... but I have had an unbelievably great time taking classes at the facility with my friends and family when they come to visit. For those who are great chefs, I challenge you to think of something related to cooking that you can't find at Viking. The center hosts a friendly environment and is also frequented by travelers in the area. Go to have fun and go to meet new people as well!
Pros: Friendly staff, Reasonable prices, Fun experience
