In Short – Hidden from Nashville's urban expanse, Percy and Edwin Warner Parks lie tucked between busy highways and sprawling neighborhoods. Virtually unchanged since their establishment in 1927, the parks' thick, hardwood forests provide an urban escape, attracting those seeking a piece of nature. The parks are composed of two different tracts of land separated by the thin corridor of Old Hickory Boulevard and include two golf courses, a nature center, a model-airplane flying field and hiking trails.

This is the kind of park that you want near a big city. Large, CLEAN and tons of things to do. If you are an outdoor type person you will love these parks. My dogs enjoy the "dog park" area set aside just for them as well.
- Pros: Trails for running and biking. A seperate fenced dog park inside the park.
- Cons: Don't really know of any...

The park is absolutely incredible. The review given before about the "snobs" in the park is very unfortunate, because I go to the park all the time and I have never received that poor welcome.
Im a runner, and everyone I pass on the roads/trails waves or says good morning or something, just like everyone does in Nashville. Everyone is always very friendly and I have even met some new friends after meeting them while running on the trails.
In my opinion, this park is one of Nashville's defining features- I have never found a park of this caliber anywhere Ive visited.
- Pros: Great Trails/ Roads, Friendly People, Gorgeous
- Cons: , Only 12 Hours of Day
Great Park for all!

My husband and I take our Border Collie there almost every day. It's a great park to exercise. You can walk the paved trail or get more adventurous and take the rugged trails up the mountain. There are many obstacles and rocks to manuever but that's what makes it fun. We are always finding new routes and things to see. It's huge so bring water and wear comfortable shoes. There are a lot of people walking dogs, jogging, biking. Lots of shaded area and benches along the way.
