Outstanding! : )
An 1850s home has been turned into a spacious bed and breakfast featuring historial artwork and a quiet, country feel..
The Scene
Originally a stagecoach stop, located less than three miles out of Nashville, this antique home and its surrounding setting is a pre-Civil War secret. Situated on an acre of land, the property still has the "stile" steps for boarding stagecoaches out in front. The proprietors, Evelyn and Alfred Bennett, are available when needed, but allow guests "plenty of space." This is a perfect weekend retreat for Nashville residents and a great choice for travelers who want access to the city in a less urban setting.
The Details
Each of the three bedrooms is decorated with an antique canopied double bed, historical furnishings and artwork, as well as a fireplace. The entire home is outfitted with air conditioning and central heating. Oak rocking chairs have been placed on the traditional long front porch for quiet meditations, and along the creek bed the original carriage house now offers a secluded area for relaxation.
