In Short
Nine miles of paved and primitive trails are available for walking, running, biking and hiking on the Shelby Bottoms Greenway. The greenway includes an observation deck and a Cumberland River scenic overlook. No need to worry about spending time in east Nashville, either. In the past few years, it has become one of Nashville's most interesting and well-kept neighborhoods.

My wife and two sons appreciated how clean and pleasant it was. There is a nice lake, surrounded by shaded areas to sit and swing; plenty of play areas for kids, I saw kids riding their bikes and skate boarding, covered eating areas near the lake. It was just right. It was not necessary to do a lot of walking. I didn't see a bug, fly or any pesty creatures or the like. We got lawn chairs and just relayed in the shade while the kids expended a lot of energy. I would recommend this park to friends.

My friend and I discovered the greenway on Memorial Day. We were so impressed that we went out and bought a bike for him, picked mine up and headed back to ride. What a wonderful greenway to our city! The ride was so enjoyable. The scenery was superb! We cannot believe it took us so long to visit the greenway. We're looking forward to the rest of the connection. Thanks for a wonderful addition to our city!!
