In Short – Once a major player in the late '80s and early '90s, The Cannery Ballroom has undergone extensive renovations, including new hardwood floors and bathrooms, plus the construction of an enormous central bar. The caddy-cornered stage remains from the club's heyday. As one of the city's few large-capacity clubs, the Cannery attracts both regional and national acts. It is also a popular choice for private events, such as art exhibitions or fashion shows.
Great place

I love this place. Very broad selection of shows/events and even when the place is jam-packed I always manage to feel relaxed and have a good time. Bartenders are very skilled and the overall atmosphere is great. I love the booth seats & pool tables for taking some time out to chill if necessary. Just wish they had better acoustics considering some of the big names they have there and that parking was more convenient!
(considering the Cannery Ballroom and Mercy Lounge are basically the same place, my review stays the same!)
- Pros: Atmosphere, bartenders
- Cons: parking, acoustics
The Details on The Cannery
Know Before You Go:
The beer garden, employed during all-ages events, is located behind the bar area and out of the view of the main stage. If you don't want to miss a note of the concert, plan to visit between acts.
Parking:
If the lot is full, try looking for a spot alongside nearby Cummins Station.
