This is Southern cooking at its best. The Loveless Cafe is more than a meat and three. It's a Nashville landmark. Located on the Natchez Trace Parkway and packed everyday with celebrities, locals and guests, the Loveless Cafe offers some of the best biscuits and gravy in all of Nashville. Breakfast is served pipin' hot and delicious all day, every day.
Copper Kettle is a meat and three plus. In addition to the daily menu options, Copper Kettle also has a catering service and offers a full menu of sandwiches, wraps and salads as well as a phenomenal Sunday brunch. It's very popular with the Nashville elite, and celebrity sightings are a regular event at this well-known meat and three. The coconut chicken and jalapeno cheese grits make the slightly higher-than-average prices at Copper Kettle worth the trip.
Between the aromas of the homemade side dishes and the sight of Arnold himself carving the roast beef, it's hard not to fall in love with this Nashville treasure. Walking through the traditional, cafeteria-style ordering line, it's easy to recognize Arnold's as a good, old-fashioned meat and three. The gravy and roast beef are fantastic and the chess pie is a favorite among regulars.
Located in a beautiful Victorian home in the heart of Germantown, the original location for Monell's looks more like an upscale restaurant than a meat and three filled with comfort foods. With family-style seating, guests enjoy delicious Southern cooking and hospitality--and fried chicken with every meal, including the bountiful breakfast. Side dishes like cheese grits and corn pudding help make this one of the most popular meat and threes in Nashville. With six locations, Monell's offers carry-out or dine-in all around town.
Owned and operated by the same family for more than 40 years, Dairy King is a Nashville landmark on East Thompson Lane. In business since the late 1940s, Dairy King has been serving delicious meat and three meals, ice cream treats and catering services to generations of families in the Nashville area. It's known best for their delicious home-made desserts, so save room for some banana pudding and fried chocolate pie.
This amazing meat and three is a consistent favorite among locals in East Nashville and has made a believer out of more than one out-of-town guest. The cornbread and the country-fried steak are nothing short of addictive, and the long list of side dishes keeps guests coming back to try them all.
