Are you diabetic? If you are, chances are 50-50 you don't know it. Of the 290, 000 Tennesseans with diabetes, half are unaware of their condition. Through education, research, support groups, and youth services, the American Diabetes Association (ADA) raises awareness and understanding of diabetes. At the same time, ADA improves the quality of life of the many adults and children who live with diabetes each day. ADA invites children with diabetes to attend a summer day camp, and sponsors other events during the year, including a benefit walk at the Nashville Zoo.--Jocelyn Morneau
